Roberts leads free lunchtime event at UC Davis Arboretum

Signs of spring abound, and stormy weather has finally let up enough to see them.

Get outdoors and enjoy a lunchtime stroll through the UC Davis Arboretum gardens with renowned storyteller Warren Roberts, the arboretum’s superintendent emeritus and everybody’s favorite garden punster. He’ll lead a free garden walk and chat at noon Wednesday, March 13. No advance registration necessary; just show up with your walking shoes.

Meet at the Arboretum Headquarters. Metered parking can be found along LaRue Road near the headquarters building. Parking ($9 flat rate) also is available in Visitor Lot 47.

This winter, wet afternoons postponed or cancelled some of Roberts’ popular Walks with Warren. Wednesday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies, but no rain, and temperatures in the low 60s.

See what’s in bloom including the arboretum’s brilliant yellow acacias, saucer magnolias and other March favorites.
