Enjoy autumn foliage, flowers at spectacular site

Experience a fall celebration at a garden spot like no other.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, Maple Rock Gardens hosts its annual Fall Garden Tour, featuring acres of beautiful themed garden rooms, stunning vistas and an enchanting model railway in action.

Tour Maple Rock’s private formal gardens, whimsical retreats, orchards, flower fields, bamboo forest and many fountains, just as its hundreds of trees and shrubs show off their autumn foliage.

Food and beverages will be offered for sale for a picnic among the flowers. Live music adds to the festivities, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $10 adults; children age 12 and under admitted free. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society.

Maple Rock Gardens is located at 100 Clark Tunnel Road, Newcastle. Use directions provided by the High-Hand Nursery website.
