Dozens of clubs offer plants, crafts and more

Need a hobby? Interested in local gardening? Looking for a unique gift?

Find all that and more at the Shepard Center Spring Sale.

Set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, this huge sale features many of the garden and crafts clubs that call the Shepard Garden and Arts Center home. Each club will offer its specialty – such as perennial plants – or other items popular with gardeners such as books and equipment. In addition, crafts clubs will sell their handmade wares. Admission and parking are free.

Find flowers, plants, jewelry, yard art, antiques, crafts and more. Proceeds benefit the clubs and help them present their own programs throughout the year.

Sacramento’s official clubhouse, the Shepard Center hosts nearly 30 clubs. The sale is a great time to meet individuals from these local organizations and discover a new hobby. New members are always welcome.

Shepard Center is located at 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento, in McKinley Park.
