During the first week of Fall, our attention turns indoors – for National Indoor Plant Week.
Celebrated during the third week of September, this commemoration recognizes the importance of living plants to our interior spaces.
“Plants have such a positive impact to our health and well being,” said Kifumi Keppler, owner of Exotic Plants, Sacramento’s go-to indoor gardening store. “They add an element of life to a room. They add oxygen. With plants, productivity of people goes up.”
Exotic Plants is celebrating with special events this week starting with a free succulent workshop at 6 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the Fulton Avenue store.
At 6 p.m. Friday, Exotic Plants will host “Swig & Dig Paint Night,” combining plants and creative artwork with an adult beverage of your choice. Prices are $45 to $50 including materials and instruction. Register in advance by calling the store at 916-922-4769.
At 4 p.m. Saturday, Exotic Plants has a special treat for lovers of rare and unusual specimen plants: A plant auction. This special event is open free to the public.
Exotic Plants is located at 1525 Fulton Ave., Sacramento.
