American River Ranch hosts special Saturday at the Farm

Embrace the season during a special "Saturday at the Farm" at Soil Born Farms' American River Ranch.

Saturday morning, Oct. 27, Sacramento's oldest working farm hosts fun for the whole family with an Enchanted Youth Garden, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin decorating, wreath making and much more. 

Festivities run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Admission is free. (There are small material fees for some craft activities.)

Kids also can make "nature wands" in the activity tent. Wear a costume and get a free treat at Phoebe's Tea & Snack Bar. The whole family can take a farm tour at 11 a.m.

Shop the ranch's farmstand and bring home some pumpkins, too, along with a basket full of fall vegetables and fruit.
